Great news: we are able to open our doors and take visitors again. Although we only take a small number of guests, the house is not small: it’s surprisingly spacious with large, airy public rooms, two staircases and the en suite bedrooms are well apart from each other.
In good weather, breakfast can be taken on the south facing terrace as an alternative to the dining room. On the whole, it will be very easy to keep a sensible distance from other guests here at the Old Manor. The area has so much to offer its visitors. We look forward to seeing new and regular guests again soon and to help kick start things again we will be doing the 3 day 15% discount on stays of two days or more; when booked direct with the Old Manor House.
Arrive to a warm friendly welcome with tea and cake ... then relax in one of our two lounges with views of the Somerset countryside or our walled garden; or take afternoon tea on the patio.
In the heart of Somerset and surrounded by beautiful country, the Old Manor House is something special – not (as our historical name suggests) an old manor house with beams and sloping floors, but a quirky mix of centries old outbuilding – formerly a store for the main house that once stood here – and a brand new build with spacious comfortable on-suite bedrooms and all modern conveniences. Read more about the history of the Old Manor House.
The Old Manor House is hidden from the road within a pretty, quirky, walled garden which includes an ancient walnut tree. We are situated in a very quiet semi-rural wooded setting away from the main roads and hustle and bustle of town; yet we are just over a mile from town centre facilities.
As an all year venue, a visit to the Old Manor House is great in summer or winter months, when you can snuggle up our cosy lounges in front of the TV or wood burner.
Enjoy walks in the countryside direct from the house if you bring your pooch.
If you arrive by car, we have plenty of parking.
There is free fast full-fibre internet available throughout the building.
